HOTEL LADAKH SARAI

Modeled on Central Asian and Mongolian "Akois", the circular domed dwellings out here are better known by the name of yurts. Made of canvas and bamboo, they stand individually and are quite spacious to live in. Bathrooms are attached to each of them. Hot water is supplied in buckets. Provided for with comfy twin beds, the interiors of these rooms are adorned with soft shades of pastels. Natural light penetrates through the circular opening in the center of the yurts keeping them lighted and warm by day while in the evenings electric lighting or kerosene lamps are used.

Each of the yurts comes with a sitting area. Bask in these sit outs and enjoy the beautiful views of the Zanskar range and the Stok Kangri Mountain. The Indus River flows by and the ambience is also so very serene and tranquil, ideal for relaxation.
